Ida Mae Lowery REEVES, 83, of 429 New Freeman's Ferry Road died Tuesday afternoon [November 27, 1990] at a Rome hospital after a long illness. Mrs. REEVES was born in Murray County, Oct. 9, 1907, daughter of the late Tom LOWERY and Susie (PLESS) LOWERY. She had been a longtime resident of Floyd County and was of the Methodist faith. She was employed by Fox Manufacturing Company and was a homemaker. She was married to Herman S. REEVES who precedes her in death. Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Sue PATTERSON, Rome; a son, Hollie REEVES, Rome; two sisters, Mrs. Delaney FOWLER and Mrs. Grace WOOTEN, both of Tunnel Hill; a half-sister, Mrs. Harriet ROE, Chatsworth; two brothers, Tommy LOWERY, Chatsworth, and Malcomb[sic] LOWERY, Dalton; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Head officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens.
